Dr. Md. Mahamud Ul Hoque, Additional Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh has taken over the charge of President GOMCS on 28 August 2021. Prior to his current position in GOMCS, he was a Director of the previous committee for three years. Dr. Mahamud Ul Hoque is a career civil servant who started working in the government in the year 1988. He had been working in the field administration in different capacities and also in Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) as a faculty member. He had been assigned with diplomatic job in the Consulate General of Bangladesh, Dubai from 2010-2014. He was Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Defence. Outside his government job currently, he has been working on lien in the World Bank Group as a Senior Education Adviser.
Dr. Md. Mahamud Ul Hoque achieved his Ph.D degree from Jahangirnagar University in the field of Environmental Science focusing on Geo-chemical Mapping of Ground Water Arsenic and Arsenic in Biological Sample. He obtained his Masters Degree in Urban Environmental Management from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand and also completed Masters Degree in Organo-Applied Chemistry from the University of Chittagong. He was the fellow of DUKE University, United States, Bradford University and London Meridian College, United Kingdom. He attended different international seminars, workshops, meetings to represent Bangladesh.
Other than a career civil servant he has personal interest in academic activities. He has been conducting academic sessions in different training institutes in the country where civil servants are being trained. He used to conduct sessions in BPATC, NAEM, BIAM, BIM and NAPD. Dr. Md. Mahamud Ul Hoque has three publications in the international journal and six publications and research reports in the national journal.
